Submarines. As well as motor launches, submarines were used to take personnel and stores to and from Crete during the occupation. Submarines were mainly used in the earlier part of the occupation. Two of the submarines that were famously involved were H.M.S. Torbay and H.M.S. Thrasher. Both of these made daring trips to collect allied personnel. Details to follow.
