Motor Launches

I hope to have on these pages, information about the many motor launches, and there crews, which were used to ferry agents and others to and from Crete during the occupation.

At present it looks very much as though ML 842, skippered by Brian Coleman, both delivered Moss and party to Crete on 4th April 1944, and collected the abduction party.

We know that ML 355, probably skippered by Lieut R A Logan, was also detailed to cover some aspects of the Kreipe operation. Enquiries are in hand to try and determine the role he and his crew played.

Update Sept 2007. Bob Logan took Billy Moss and party to Crete in June 1944 when he returned to Crete for second operation . Landed directly south of Mt Ida.  Source: A War of Shadows . WSM.

ML's 357 and 837 are also  believed to have made runs to and from Crete.
